About Ryan Klapper

Who I am
I'm Ryan Klapper, a Forward Deployed AI Engineer at Tribe AI. I embed with enterprise teams to design, build, and ship LLM applications and agentic workflows that hold up in production. Recent work spans financial services, healthcare, retail, logistics, and the public sector.
Before Tribe AI, I spent over three years at Hakkoda, an IBM Company, moving from analytics engineering to Senior AI Engineer. There I architected and delivered 25+ GenAI projects on Snowflake Cortex, AWS Bedrock, and Microsoft Azure, and led an internal AI bootcamp that mentored 20+ consultants. Earlier, I was a data scientist at Powur, building data pipelines and executive dashboards.
Recognition
I was the AI engineer on MAMBA, which won the 2024 AFTA Best New Technology award, and the architect of agentic workflows that earned a 2025 CIO 100 award. I hold the SnowPro Specialty: Generative AI, SnowPro Advanced: Data Scientist, SnowPro Core, and AWS Certified Cloud Practitioner certifications.
Background
I studied Data Analytics at Chapman University (B.S., minor in Entrepreneurship). I write about agents, Snowflake Cortex, function calling, and applied LLM engineering on Medium and the Hakkoda blog. Code lives on GitHub, and the full history is in my resume.
